If spacing your stitches is an issue these unique templates are the perfect way to insure your work is evenly spaced. They can be used on any project where a beautiful hand stitched embroidery design is needed- -even on handmade cards.
These easy to use templates are made of a thin, durable, transparent plastic for positioning them exactly where you want them on your project.
Use a sharp #2 pencil, chalk pencil, or other marking tool (depending on the color of your fabrics). Just position the template in place, hold firmly with one hand, so that it does not shift, then insert your favorite marking pencil or tool into the small holes and "twist". The pencil/tool leaves a tiny dot on your project; which becomes your guide for the needle up/down positions of the specific embroidery stitch that template mimics.
These compact templates can be used ‘as is’ or cut apart. If you would like to cut them apart into individual seam /motif templates, “dash lines” are printed between the individual templates, so you can easily see where to cut using a pair of utility scissors or rotary cutter & mat. If you are using a rotary cutter- -scoring them & then folding/snapping them apart typically works great. Larger holes are punched on the ends so that the set can be organized by placing on a key/binder ring or tied together for storage
You will appreciate how versatile these templates are- -use them along a seam or for adding stitching embellishments. Flip them over to create mirrored patterns or combine them for even more complex patterns. For more elaborate designs you can add a variety of other embellishments or other embroidery stitches to this base template design."

FABRIC MARKERS:
There are a variety of marking tools on the market that should work well with the Shape Template Set, but since we are a Distributor for Clover Needlecraft
their pens were the ones we tried that worked well. A sharp #2 lead pencil also works well for marking your project.
