Embroidery Shape Template Set These shaped templates (not to be confused with the stitch template sets) are made of the same material as the Embroidery Stitch Template Set, but they are smaller- -The set includes 5 Marking Stencil Templates. Each template is 6in x 6in- -with margin they are 6.5in x 6.5in. These templates were designed with 1mm snug cut out openings to enable the user to be able to make precise, very thin lines, so that the lines can be easily covered up with thread. We recommend using marking tools with a 0.5mm or 0.7mm point. Creating beautiful designs in embroidery is easy if you begin with simple shapes. It is possible to create gorgeous seam designs just by following a drawn line based on simple shapes such as circles, squares, diamonds & curves. This template set includes easy shapes such as hearts, swirls, geometric shapes, leaves, letters & numbers. Just trace these designs onto fabric for garment embellishments, quilt borders, crazy quilt seams & embroidery projects, etc. Simple embroidery stitches are all that is needed- -Chain Stitch, Stem Stitch, Outline Stitch, etc.- - to cover the drawn lines and create wonderful stitched designs! This shapes set will also be featured in Kathy's next book Dazzling Diamonds Crazy Quilt Book with a tentative release date for Spring 2020. There are a variety of marking tools on the market that should work well with the Shape Template Set but since we are a Distributor for Clover Needlecraft their pens were the ones we tried that worked well. A sharp #2 lead pencil also works well for marking your project. Dont forget- - ALWAYS TRY MARKERS ON A SCRAP OF THE SAME FABRIC BEFORE USING ON YOUR CREATIONS!
